Microbiology

Microbiology is the study of microscopic organisms.   

The purpose of this course is to familiarize the student with those concepts that are basic to viruses and prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells.  Microbial growth, evolution and classification of microorganisms, ecology of microorganisms, the human use of microorganisms, diseases caused by microorganism and other parasites, descriptions and anatomy of the different prokaryotic, eukaryotic, and other pathological life forms, and laboratory techniques are discussed.
